Frequently Asked Questions
Why should we care about your music or your non-existing branding? Why would we let you into our lives when none of us know how or when we actually kick the bucket or die to other causes such as slipping on a banana peel?
Wow. Wow. thanks. right - not that I would be worried or afraid of dying myself, no on the contrary - it scares the crap out of me because I have done it once when I was raped and abused to the extent I lost my ability to walk after I was brought back at the local e.r in Helsinki 2008. as a frequently asked question #1 this is a fair point. in a way I do hope my work as an artist and a musician would make the journey deeper, perhaps more beautiful and easier to bear for you by offering consolation in the form of empowerment. everyone needs a little hope and faith. carry on… -
So you basically make songs about a variety of things such as the holocaust. Why?
no, I don’t make songs about “things”, I write lyrics that revolve around “matters” such as the holocaust. none of us should ever forget it. no one. ever. politics aside, it’s the flip side of humanity that I am trying to form some sort of a conclusion through extensive empiric and academic research of. I think “too much” per a nurse who said that to me when I was 15, but like doesn’t it worry you that the space is constantly expanding to dimensions called eternity and time, to somewhere there’s “nothing”, not even “nothing”, it just “isn’t”? how come we minor trees still grow taller and taller towards the sky, and after a certain point gravity makes it kaputt for the species on earth (even ticks probably explode after certain kilometers though they’re bullet-proof killing machines, just very small ones)? Isn’t it beautiful?
Elle, you are a Finn.
is that a question? it sounds more like a statement. yes, I was bred and born here. Our backyard merged into a forest and I tended to almost drown all the time in small ponds as a kid. -25°C isn’t an emergency, we call it winter. bikes begin freezing around that temperature, then we walk or take a bus to school or commute to work. the key is layering, tuition-free schools + universities (the government even supports students financially) and free healthcare. I could have never taken on arts unless these were the specs I was privileged to GET borN IN.
You… YOU… You fucker. YOU… WOMAN!
Yes. that isn’t a question either, that’s misogyny.
